COVID-19 NOTICE

We are operating our services from our Bray and Grafton Street locations over this time. We have closed our Greystones clinic.

1. If you have any of these symptoms please cancel or reschedule you appointment: cough / shortness of breath / fatigue / aches and pains / runny nose / sore throat / headache / sneezing / diarrhoea .
2. All BRAY patients are requested to attend ultrasound scans unaccompanied till the 8th of June 2020. This includes partners, family members and children. We sincerely apologise if you were told otherwise. Management of the Bray Women’s Health Centre are not permitting partners into the clinic until phase 2 of easing of restrictions.

GRAFTON STREET patients are permitted to bring their partner only if they feel it is absolutely necessary for him to attend the appointment. Ideally, if you can attend your scan alone, this would be preferable. Both the patient and partner are required to wear a mask at all times in the building. Children will not be permitted in to the scan.

3. If you are over 12 weeks or not pregnant you don’t need a full bladder for your scan, so please go to the toilet at home before coming for your scan.
4. If you already have a mask, wear it. A home-made mask is better than no mask.
5. Try and avoid public transport: walk, cycle or come by car.
6. Ring us from outside the practice on 012761522 (Bray) 016712122 (Grafton Street). Please wait till we ask you to come in.
7. The downstairs door will be locked. Use our door buzzer. In Grafton Street there is a doorman – let him know that you have an appointment.
8. You may be asked to put on a mask and/or use hand sanitiser before you enter.
9. Do not use the lift in Grafton Street. Please walk up the stairs. Please do not touch the banisters.
10. In Grafton Street, the outer grey metal door will be locked. Please wave or knock with your elbow (not with your knuckles). Someone will see you and unlock the door. Wait till they tell you to come in. Please use your elbow or forearm (not your hand) to open the door. It opens inwards. The wooden inner door will be open: please go straight through into whatever room you are directed to, which might be the waiting room. Once in the room, please either sit on the chair or lie on the couch (depending on what the doctor / nurse  you were talking to on the phone asked you to do.)
11. The sonographer will perform your ultrasound. She will be wearing some type of PPE (personal protective equipment) so don’t be alarmed.
12. Please pay with card or contactless payment after the scan.
13. Once it is safe for you to go please make a quick exit and do not touch anything on your way out.

We appreciate your assistance in this matter and we look forward to giving you the very best care possible under the circumstances.
