What is World Cancer Day?
The 4th of February is World Cancer Day, an initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control. Started in 2000, the campaign seeks to raise awareness of the disease that causes up to 10 million deaths a year and to promote access to early detection and treatment for all, regardless of income, ethnicity or gender.
